Asian Art Contemporary presents the international juried exhibition Fables in Form, a showcase where contemporary Asian artists are exploring the interplay between narrative and visual form. The exhibition is considering how stories—personal, cultural, or imagined—are being shaped not only by their content but also by the way they are being expressed through artistic practice. Paintings, drawings, and other works are carrying traces of memory, gesture, and context, transforming form into a vessel for storytelling.
Artists Wu Shuang, In Kyoung Chun, and editor Jenny Wang were invited as jurors for this open call. Their selections reflect the exhibition’s dedication to presenting diverse approaches to storytelling in contemporary visual art. Fables in Form presents works that are revealing how meaning emerges through the dialogue between story and form, where the artwork itself is becoming a site of narrative discovery.
