Asian Art Contemporary invites submissions from artists engaging with contemporary Asian perspectives across diverse media and disciplines. This initiative is part of our ongoing editorial program, highlighting artists whose practices contribute to evolving conversations around identity, culture, and contemporary artistic production.

We welcome submissions from emerging to established Asian artists worldwide.

About the Program

Selected artists are featured through a dedicated editorial presentation, including an in-depth interview and a curated selection of artworks, published across our platform and communication channels.

Artists may also be considered for exhibitions, events, and future invitations as guest jurors, contributors, or collaborators within programs organized by Asian Art Contemporary.

Our editorial features are developed to provide thoughtful context around each artist’s practice, positioning their work within broader contemporary discourse while reaching an international audience of artists, curators, and collectors.

Eligibility

• Open to artists of Asian heritage or those engaging with Asian cultural contexts
• All disciplines accepted (including but not limited to painting, sculpture, photography, installation, new media)
• Open internationally

Selection Process

• Submissions are reviewed by the curatorial team at Asian Art Contemporary.
• Submissions are reviewed on a rolling basis. Artists are selected based on the strength of their practice and its alignment with our editorial and curatorial direction.
• Due to the volume of submissions, not all applicants will be selected. Only selected artists will be notified via email.

Submission Fee

A non-refundable submission fee applies based on the selected track and supports the curatorial review and editorial production process.

There are no additional fees required upon selection.

Artists may complete the submission form first. After submitting, a payment link will be sent based on the selected submission option. Submissions are only considered complete after payment is received.

Submission Options

Artists may apply through one of the following editorial review tracks:

Standard Submission — $45

• Curatorial and editorial review of submitted materials
• Consideration for an artist interview feature and presentation of selected works
• Promotion across Instagram, Xiaohongshu, and targeted newsletter distribution
• Consideration for recommendations to exhibitions and events organized by Asian Art Contemporary

Expanded Editorial Submission — $75

Includes all elements of the Standard Submission, with extended consideration for:

• Invitations as guest jurors, contributors, or collaborators within programs produced by Asian Art Contemporary
• Invitations to participate in initiatives and programs associated with the Asian Artist Center

Important Notes

• Applications must be submitted in English.
• Artists are required to submit a portfolio (JPG files of work samples or a website link), artist bio, and CV through the submission form.
• Submitted images must be labeled as follows: Firstname_Lastname_Title_Medium_Dimensions_Year.jpg
• JPG files should not exceed 1MB. A maximum of 5 JPG files may be submitted. Selected artists will be contacted for high-resolution images if needed.
• For video submissions, only works hosted on YouTube and Vimeo are accepted.
• For security reasons, we do not open password-protected sites or download attachments from external links.
• We do not accept submissions via email.
• Submission does not guarantee selection. All fees are non-refundable.
• Selected artists will receive further details regarding the publication timeline and materials.
